The Swiss Alps are famous for their rugged terrain and towering peaks.
But for most of history, the Swiss Alps were not as rugged as they are today.
In fact, the Alps were so rugged, they were called “the Wild West.”
The Wild West was when many people lived their lives in the woods.
People would live in the mountains for years and only take the occasional walk when it was absolutely necessary.
The Wild west was also a time when hunting was rampant, with people hunting animals in the open for food and game.
The Swiss Alps have since been largely restored.
In many parts of the Alps, the snow has become softer and easier to traverse.
But in many areas, the mountains are still relatively steep and rugged.
There are no roads or trails that go through the mountains, and no hiking trails.
In some parts of Switzerland, people have even been known to climb to the top of the mountains in order to hike to the city.
